Live-Action Swamp Thing TV Series?

Warner Bros.‘ upcoming DC digital service will officially be titled DC Universe, and will be developing a live-action Swamp Thing TV series for the streaming service, attached as executive producer is James Wan for a 2019 debut.

Swamp Thing made his comic book debut back in 1971, the show will follow what happens when CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus. There, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.

Westworld Renewed for Season 3

HBO announced on Tuesday that, Westworld Season 3 is greenlit.

Season 2 has yet to see an increase in viewership, only 3 million viewers tuned in for the season 2’s premiere versus the 3.3 million who tuned in for season 1’s series premiere.

“It’s been an extraordinary pleasure to work with the exceptionally talented Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as their gifted cast and crew,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys said in the official statement. “From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where the next chapter will take us.”

Pet Sematary Remake Eyes Jason Clarke to Star

Pet Sematary is set to be rebooted and THR reported that Jason Clarke is in negotiations to star in the Pet Sematary remake.

Clarke will play Dr Louis Creed (played by Dale Midkiff in the 1989 movie).

Pet Sematary is currently scheduled to be released by the 19th of April 2019.

Terminator 6 Casts New Terminator

James Cameron has recruited Deadpool director Tim Miller “to direct a reboot, a conclusion” to the Terminator franchise, with Cameron acting as a “godfather.”

The Terminator 6 script has been written by David Goyer, Justin Rhodes, Josh Friedman, and Billy Ray. Deadline broke the news that Gabriel Luna (who played Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider on Agents of SHIELD) has landed the Terminator role.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed his return for the film. Linda Hamilton is also confirmed to reprise her role as Sarah Connor.
